I recently watched a TV programme about diets, handing out different diets to different people who had goals to slim down for an event, a wedding,  a party, a holiday or a reunion.

Short term, once the event is over , the eating habits revert as life goes back to normal.

This is another way of saying thats ok, its ok to yo- yo diet, its ok to mess up your metabolism which can take a long time to recover, for some it can be a year depending on what damage has already been done.

Programmes like this are giving us the wrong message. Its time messages like this stopped.

Its time the truth was told about diets, that they don’t work long term, that you are fed up with diets and would prefer something sustainable, consistent and simple.

The place to begin for success is your brain, not your diet. When you understand your self your behaviours change.

Your underlying unconscious story will win the day as you listen to your negative self talk, when you start a diet, thinking this is the one but yet agin, you stumble as life gets in the way and you reach for the cake, biscuits, wine.

Everyone has an underlying story. Shining light on this allows you to learn to listen to your negative language, rather than trying to run from it.

Diamond

Training 3 sessions a week either at my home studio or via FaceTime (12 sessions a month.  45 minute sessions based on Pilates and/ or high intensity interval training)
Nutrition/ food diary/ tracking measurements
Daily accountability check ins via FaceTime or telephone.
Twice a day Mindset tasks
One monthly challenge over the space of a morning or afternoon with me and my bloke : climbing/ abseiling/ long coastal walk over boulders and up steep paths – Cornwall based only.  (if outside of Cornwall travelling expenses will be added)

Training – 4 x 45 minute sessions over 4 weeks.  Pilates or high intensity interval training
Once a day mindset tasks
Accountability check ins twice a week via email/text
